I had a close encounter with Mr. Bradbury a couple years back when the youth theatre guild I "worked" for staged Fahrenheit 451. We were in the early stages of production when I got an email from a friend of his who I promptly connected with the play's (and organization's) director. Mr. Bradbury was very interested in our production and through his friend (Bradbury himself was quite ill at the time), he corresponded with the director quite extensively and I think even sent us a book or something like that. They were very gracious to our little group and it was a wonderful experience for the young actors.
