Sometimes, I just look at an ancient piece of TV I did with 25-year-old technology, and I say to myself, wow, if I could redo all of that in crisp, clean high-res vectors now…

    Oh God, how I miss the sound of those thermal printers that the wire services used in between the klickety-klack of the old teletype machines and the silence of wires going into servers that had nothing but fan noise!

    Now that was when the news even smelled like the news!
